- A place where you'll want to stop and take a moment to relax during your journey -
When I travel, I encounter places that were not on my schedule or on the map.
However, sometimes you come across a place that makes you stop in your tracks.
There was a silence that allowed me to face not the scenery but memories.
Located in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture
**Iwate TSUNAMI Memorial (Great East Japan Earthquake Tsunami Memorial Museum)**
It is one of those "important places you meet along the way."
📍 180 Dotekage, Kesencho, Rikuzentakata City

◾️To never forget that day, to live in the future
Here you can see videos and photos from the time of the earthquake,
The exhibits include people's testimonies and parts of buildings destroyed by the tsunami.
🌊 The records don't just tell the past.
"To prevent the same thing from happening again"
They gently pass on to us the wisdom and perspective to protect the future.
◾️Disaster prevention is a part of everyday choices
The word "prepare" means
It is not something that belongs to a special person, but something that affects the lives of everyone.
For example, you could choose a job related to disaster prevention or reconstruction.
It's a step towards supporting the local community.
🛠️ Create the invisible "peace of mind" for others through your own actions.
I think that's one way to create the future.
◾️Learn while moving. Feel the wind.
When you travel, you will find that it is not just a tourist spot,
A place where you can suddenly discover what you need to know may suddenly appear.
Even if you don't have a plan, there's value in it.
🚐 Sometimes it's best to stop, close your eyes and listen.
It may be that silence that teaches us the true meaning of travel.
