🌿 Turangawaewae - A barefoot, connected New Zealand experience

◾️Maori words🌏 Turangawaewae

The Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand,
There is a word called "turangawaewae."
Literally translated, it means "a place to put your feet" and "a place where you feel you belong."

This is not just about land,
It means the feeling that your body naturally accepts that "this is my place."

Express your existence not through words or information,
What you feel on the soles of your feet.
It is a quiet physical sensation that Maori people have always cherished.

◾️The feeling of the ground that you forget in the city🏙️

I somehow managed to take off my shoes and stand on the tires of the Land Rover.

The coldness of the rubber, the roughness of the sand, the slight humidity of the air.
It was the first time in a long time that the soles of my feet felt the ground.

For a long time, I had forgotten what it felt like to be on the ground.

Asphalt roads and station platforms.
Even though feet in shoes know they are "walking,"
It doesn't convey the temperature or texture underneath.

◾️Roof tent that opens barefoot🏕️

I was barefoot even when I opened the FELDON SHELTER roof tent.
At that moment, I realized something.
Rather than using tools,
The tool and the body are in natural harmony.

Just take off your shoes,
The air's contours and temperature changed.
My feet touching the ground told me, "This is where I belong."

◾️The feeling of bare feet that remains in the memories of Japanese people🎋

There was a time in Japan when people would go barefoot.
The feel of the mud when planting rice and the warmth of the wood when standing on the veranda.

In fact, our bodies remember that sensation.
It was just hidden by busyness and shoes.
When you stand barefoot, the soles of your feet naturally tell you, "This is it."

◾️The first step, standing barefoot🦶🌱

There's no need to think too hard about it.
If you feel like it, take off your shoes and stand on the grass.

The temperature, moisture, and softness of the ground you feel under your feet.
Just that alone makes the scenery seem a little closer than usual.

Just take off your shoes,
The soles of your feet tell you where you are.

Turangawaewae (Turangawaewae) .
Connecting with nature begins with such a simple entrance. 🌿🦶
