-The tent extension and rain fly (waterproof sheet) cover the ladder access area and can be used as a shelter. The tent extension also has windows and openings (made of mesh) so you can enjoy the view of nature.

The tent's internal frame is entirely aluminum, with marine-grade stainless steel hinges and fixtures for long life and superior strength. No plastic is used.

New Zealand is said to have four seasons in one day. With its long, narrow landmass stretching from north to south, neighboring countries say it has the most diverse weather conditions in the world. With all kinds of weather conditions, this country is the perfect place to develop rooftop tents.
Strong sun, wind, snow and heavy rain. Feldon Shelter has spent years developing rooftop tents in its New Zealand factory that are not only resistant to the worst weather conditions, but also provide a solution that makes it easy for anyone to enjoy the outdoors.
Feldon Shelter 's unique dome-shaped roof prevents water from pooling on the roof and prevents leaks. The curve of the roof also improves aerodynamics and provides excellent wind resistance.
To ensure a comfortable stay inside the tent, we have paid particular attention to the waterproofing, with the canvas being specially treated to be waterproof and the seams taped with waxed thread to ensure a better seal.
To cope with the intense New Zealand sun, the Crow's Nest tent is made from a polyester/cotton ripstop fabric for UV resistance and durability. Reinforced double stitching, heavy-duty YKK zippers, a reinforced aluminum frame, and marine-grade stainless steel hardware ensure long-lasting durability.
This rooftop tent is one of the highest quality on the market, and it's packed with cutting-edge safety features. Ample storage space is provided by a storage pocket at the base of the tent (for shoes and small items), storage straps in the roof, and convenient internal storage pockets. Feldon Shelter 's proprietary queen-size ErgoCell high-density foam mattress ( 60mm thick ) is large enough for two adults to rest comfortably. Even taller people will find ample space for comfort.
The bottom, sides and corners of the mattress are waterproof. Rest well in a soft and comfortable bed and soothe the fatigue of a day's travels. No more sleep deprivation caused by rough ground or rocky terrain.
Installation instructions and details
They can be installed on any vehicle, from a small two- door hatchback to a rugged large truck. Installing the tent is very easy, but you need to think carefully about which side you want the tent to open on. You can choose to have the tent open on the rear, side, or front of the vehicle. Once you've decided that, all you need is a roof rack (or carrier) with a dynamic load capacity of at least 75kg .
However, if the vehicle is tall (the height from the road surface to the top of the roof rack is 2m or more), a separate fee will be charged. An extension ladder is required.
The Crow's Nest rooftop tent has a maximum load capacity of 300kg . Product Specifications

Rainfly : Polyester diamond ripstop fabric X-canvas ( 420D ). Waterproof, mildew resistant, UV and antibacterial treated
Travel Cover : 2000 denier reinforced PVC . Triple reinforced panels in high wear areas. Constructed with UV coated yarn (as used in sailboat sails).
Base : with 10 internally reinforced backbones 30mm aluminum fully TIG welded frame

The height including the ladder, tent cover, and base is approximately 40cm, but if there is a step at the entrance such as a garage, it will be at an angle.
Please allow for a margin of 5cm to 10cm when calculating installation.
How to calculate the recommended installation height: Current vehicle height + 45cm to 50cm

*Minor updates have been made to the 2022 model, making it 5kg lighter, the fabric has been changed to X-canvas, and the frame rigidity has been further improved.
