Hassle-free setup and adventure
Simply open the two easy-to-use lockable fasteners and let the marine-grade stainless steel gas struts (with reinforced dampers) do the rest. Hawk's Nest fully sets up in under 30 seconds, making it one of the easiest roof tent deployment methods available.
Equipped with a moveable telescoping ladder and two ladder entry attachments, access to the tent is easy; all you need is your vehicle and campsite.
Highly customizable low profile
Marine-grade 316 gas struts (reinforced dampers) allow you to store up to 35kg of gear on top during deployment and camping. This means less time putting on and taking off gear and more time having fun. The Hawk's Nest design not only features multiple accessory mounting T-tracks around the perimeter of the aluminum shell for attaching sunshades, camp lights, and more.
Inside, there's an insulated roof panel with cargo storage net and storage hooks for added convenience. There are customizable rope track mounts for optional storage pockets and organizer options (coming soon).
We've partnered with Front Runner Outfitters to offer tent-mounted rack options so you can bring everything you need on your trip, with plenty of tie-downs, cargo tie-downs, and gear mounting accessories available.
Designed and proven for New Zealand's toughest conditions
From the bright sunshine of the Northland to the howling wind and rain of the Deep South, Hawk Every aspect of Znest has been rigorously tested and proven - each element has been purposefully developed here in New Zealand for New Zealand conditions.
Featuring our brand new X-Canvas, Hawk's Nest tent body and rain fly are built to be tough using FeldonShelter's proven NZ-proof construction methods. We've sourced working gear, genuine YKK zippers from Japan, European-made COATS thread (the same thread used in boat sails), NZ-made bungees, and the list goes on. With downturned, heat-sealed seams throughout, Hawk's Nest is designed to weatherproof even the toughest conditions. And now we've gone even further to give you the confidence to tackle it all.
Feldon Shelter's exclusive built-in ErgoCell dual-stage mattress comfortably fits two people and has plenty of room to stretch out. There's nothing better than laying down on a soft, dry, flat bed after a long day, and you can say goodbye to restless nights spent sleeping on rocks and roots.

Roof rack and vehicle requirements
Roof Rack Requirements : A three-bar roof rack system or roof platform with six mounting points on the vehicle's roof (three crossbars are preferable to two, with front and rear bars secured and a center support bar).
The distance between the front and rear bars (or the length of the roof platform) must be at least 1400mm.
Vehicle Requirements: Both the vehicle and roof rack system must have a minimum dynamic load rating of 100kg.
Hawk's Nest rooftop tents are ideal for larger SUVs, 4x4s and vans.
A quick note for most double cab mid-size trucks (Hilux, Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado): A load-bearing canopy with a roof rack attached to the appropriate canopy, or rack, is required. Tents cannot be attached to both the cab and the canopy/tray to avoid individual flexing of the chassis. The dollar size trucks themselves also typically do not provide sufficient mounting length.
